Bourke Shire is situated in Western New South Wales at the crossroads of the Mitchell Highway, Kamilaroi Highway and the Kidman Way. With an area of 43,000 square kilometres, the shire is home to many small villages and is considered a gateway into south west Queensland and the far west of New South Wales. It is home to approximately 3,000 people. The Shire’s prosperity is built around the pastoral, irrigation, tourism and service industries which are strongly supported by a wide range of attractions and activities.

Australian Defence Force, WNSWLHD vaccine surge starts this weekend

Supported by the Western NSW Local Health District, the Australian Defence Force (ADF) will provide pop-up Covid-19 vaccination clinics in 33 communities in 23 days, giving thousands of local residents the chance to get vaccinated.

Public Notice – Presentation of financial Statements

In accordance with Section 418 (3) of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW), Bourke Shire Council advises that the ordinary Council meeting to be held on 27/09/2021 will include the presentation of the audited Financial Statements and the Auditor’s Reports for the year ending 30 June 2021.
