Reports

The QBRS provides a summary of Council’s financial position to the elected council, so that any necessary budgetary adjustments can be made. It is the mechanism by which the community and the Council are informed of progress against the Operational Plan (original budget) and the last revised budget.

Minimum requirements are identified in the Quarterly Budget Review Guidelines that form part of the legislative framework clause 203(3) of the Local Government (General) Regulation 2021.

The Delivery Program Progress Report is a report from the General Manager to the elected council. It must be provided at least every 6 months and reports on the progress of implementation against the principal activities of the delivery program.

The purpose of the report is to enable the community and the Council to understand how Council is tracking in the context of the commitment it has made to the community through the Delivery Program.

Council’s Annual Report is a key accountability document prepared in line with Section 428 of the Local Government Act 1993. Published by 30 November each year, it outlines Council’s progress in delivering the Delivery Program (DP) and Operational Plan (OP). The report highlights how Council has fulfilled its commitments to the community and is submitted to the Office of Local Government (OLG).

The State of Our Shire Report is presented to the second meeting of a newly elected Council for noting. The report will objectively monitor the council’s progress in relation to the Community Strategic Plan (CSP) and cover the previous council’s four-year tenure. Along with outlining accomplishments to date and highlighting upcoming tasks, the report will include material that sets the stage for the next council. The CSP is a crucial part of the IP&R cycle, and the report should help the next council assess it.
