The consumption of alcohol is prohibited within the levee of the township of Bourke, including all public roadways, footpaths and laneways.

Alcohol Free Zone for Bourke Township

Council is intending to present a report at its Ordinary meeting on 25 November 2019 proposing to pass a resolution to extend the Alcohol Free Zone (AFZ) currently in place 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week, on all public roadways, footpaths and laneways within the levee of the township of Bourke for a further four (4) years from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2023.

Council is proposing to extend the AFZ without any amendments to previous declarations.
