Council

The elected Council, which is made up of 10 Councillors, are voted in by the residents in Local Government elections each 4 years, to represent the interest of the community. After each election the 10 elected Councillors elect a Mayor to serve for a two (2) year period. Council administration, which is led by the General Manager are responsible for the day to day operation and ensuring that the decisions of the elected Council are implemented.
