Committee Meetings
The Bourke Shire Council Local Transport Forum (formerly known as the Bourke Shire Traffic Committee) became effective on 1 August 2025. The Forum advises Bourke Shire Council on traffic and parking control matters and on the provision of traffic control facilities and prescribed traffic control devices for which Council has delegated authority from Transport for NSW.

The Forum comprises the following representatives:
- One representative of Bourke Shire Council.
- One representative of the NSW Police.
- One representative of Transport for NSW.
- The State Member of Parliament for the electorates of Barwon, or their nominee.
- The Operator of any public passenger service (bus, taxi) likely to be affected by proposed traffic control work while that proposal is being reviewed. Failure to attend when appropriately invited, does not prevent council from proceeding with a proposal.
The LTF is primarily a technical review and advisory forum which considers the technical merits of proposals and ensures that current technical guidelines are considered.
